Nikon D3100 Onboard Mic

Ok, the reason I started this blog and began studying audio was to get away from onboard condenser camera mics. But still sometimes thats all you have. These cameras are getting better with every new release and update and that includes the audio recording capabilities. And eventhough I am acquiring better audio gear its good to know that in that split second moment where you have to grab some video and either don't have your audio package with you or there just isnt time to get good audio the onboard condenser mic isn't that bad, especially for Youtube. With that said I still try to take a dedicated ffield recorderwith me everywhere and for that I use my Zoom H1 field recorder.
